  • Established the Neighborhood Watch Program with the Township-approved Police liaison
  • Procured Community Neighborhood Watch signs
  • Procured 4-way stop signs at Port Monmouth Road & Ocean Avenue
  • Worked with Township departments and Police to place speed limit signs where none existed


  Offer respect and inclusiveness to all ideas and opinions

  • Organize and lead monthly Community meetings
  • Published community email account, idealbeachNJ@gmail.com 
  • Published IBCA website, idealbeach.org 
  • Published social media network:  Facebook, Instagram, and twitter pages

 

  Share and encourage commitment and responsibility for our future

  • Partnered with the Tonya Keller Community Center to support and strengthen mission
  • Partnered with Ocean Avenue School and the OAS PTA to support and strengthen mission

  Initiate Activities , Charity, & Social events that unify, support, & strengthen the Community

  • Attained 501C-3 Non-profit status in Fall of 2015
  • Developed and Conducted "My Ideal Beach Neighborhood Celebrations" and My Ideal Flea Market
  • Sponsor and OAS Partner of "Season of Giving Toy Drive" since 2011
  • Procured 3 computers for Ocean Avenue Elementary School donated by a valued IT consultant
  • Sponsor and donated funds to support OAS students "Field Day" t-shirts
  • Partner and support the community volunteer First Aid & Rescue and the volunteer Fire Department (East Keansburg Firehouse #5)


  Take initiative to foster productive relationships with all levels of government

  • Conduct annual round table meetings with Township to address and action community concerns and issues
  • Monthly community representation at Township monthly meetings
  • Partner with township by holding volunteer positions on various Township Boards and Committee.


  Impart and build a sense of pride in the Neighborhood

  • Partner with Clean Ocean Action since 2010 for the Ideal Beach ‘Beach Sweeps’ Clean-Up
  • Partnered with Ocean Avenue School and Clean Ocean Action organization to teach the importance of beach ecology and overall recycling  
  • Procured two pet waste stations and business sponsor to supply the biodegradable waste bags at Roosevelt Park
  • Partnered with Ocean Avenue School and Arbor Day Foundation to plant 25 Willow Oak Trees on Ocean Avenue School grounds
  • Procured Blue Spruce Tree in 2014 that is utilized for yearly Christmas-Holiday tree lighting event at Roosevelt Park
  • Procured identification sign for Roosevelt Park, installment of new benches, and in process of constructing a new planting bed and procuring landscaping plants and flowers


  Value and celebrate our Community

  • Developed Community IBCA logo to develop positive imagery and visibility for the community
  • Launched the "Catch the Wave" slogan to encourage residents to stay connected


  Elevate outside perception of our Neighborhood

  • Continue to create innovative approaches to elevate perception and promote the Community
  • Established contacts with local media which assist in generating on-going positive press for the Community

Recognized by the State of NJ, we are a non-profit 501C-3 organization made up of Ideal Beach Community residents. We strive to improve the quality of life in this community.
