Recognized by the State of NJ, we are a non-profit 501C-3 organization made up of Ideal Beach Community residents.

We strive to improve the quality of life in the Ideal Beach Community.

​ Promote safety and security as a foundation for growth

  • Reintroduced the Neighborhood Watch Program in 2018 with support/coordination of Middletown Township Police Department
  • Procured Community Neighborhood Watch signs
  • Procured 4-way stop signs at Port Monmouth Road & Ocean Avenue
  • Worked with township departments and police to place speed limit signs where none existed


  Offer different avenues of information about our community and surrounding communities

  • Developed & maintain IBCA website, idealbeach.org
  • Developed & maintain community email account, ibca@idealbeach.org 
  • Developed & maintain social media network:  Facebook, Instagram, and twitter pages
  • Continue to stay on top of social media changes and innovation

 

  Share and encourage commitment and responsibility for our future

  • Partner with the Tonya Keller Community Center to support and strengthen mission
  • Partner with Ocean Avenue School and the OAS PTA to support and strengthen mission
  • Partner with other volunteer organizations in our community (EK Fire Dept, Middletown First Aid & Rescue, St Catherine Youth Group, Boy/Girl Scout troops)


  Initiate Activities, Charity, & Social events that unify, support, & strengthen the Community

  • Attained 501C-3 Non-profit status in Fall of 2015
  • Awarded 1st Ideal Beach Scholarship 2017
  • Develop and conduct community events which celebrate the Ideal Beach Community 
  • Sponsor and Partner with Ocean Avenue School for the "Season of Giving Toy Drive" since 2011
  • Fundraise & donate to EK Fire Department, Middletown First Aid & Rescue, St Catherine Food Pantry
  • Fundraise & donate to military or disabled
  • Partner with Clean Ocean Action since 2010 for the Ideal Beach ‘Beach Sweeps’ Clean-Up


  Take initiative to foster productive relationships with all levels of government

  • IBCA monthly community representation at monthly township meetings
  • 2018 re-establish Round Table meeting with township officials
  • Work with township administration on resolution of community issues, individual resident issues, & community progress


  Impart and build a sense of pride in the Neighborhood

  • Roosevelt Park Facelift - "A place for our community to enjoy and meet".  New benches, new planting beds with mulch, landscaping plants and flowers, Mutt Mitt Stations, planted Blue Spruce Tree in 2014 for IBCA yearly Holiday tree lighting event
  • Maintain & water plantings at Roosevelt Park
  • Partnered with Ocean Avenue School and Arbor Day Foundation to plant 25 Willow Oak Trees on Ocean Avenue School grounds
  • Established IBCA committees for community volunteers

  • Hold community events that promote neighborhood interaction
  • Hold monthly community meetings that empower neighborhood participation and provide a voice to resident concerns
